I put epoxy risers on the side keys(which you can keep or remove) and just the other day I had Emilio(of Rayburn's Boston) replace a low C# pad which was OK- but now it is perfect.

Think the sound of Bechet: cutting, crystal clear. It plays in better pitch than any Selmer I've ever tried. Take this magnificent vintage silver Buescher soprano(serial number 192716) sax. They aren't Selmers(and I know Selmers through and through) but each plays as good or better than its Selmer counterpart. I gigged with them and loved playing them. more I'm not a dealer and I never purchased a horn that wasn't top-notch and that wasn't intended to be a player's horn. I've reached the age where I've got to give up playing- which means selling off my magnificent collection of saxes(see my other auctions). No mouthpiece but I am going to ship it in a brand new Pro-Tec case(see image above) You will NOT find a better playing vintage alto anywhere. It is a masterpiece of silver-plating but, best of all, it is the best-playing alto I've ever picked up.
